POSTED: FALL 2014 - New Department of Geological Sciences at CCSU!
Congratulations Central! The New Department of Geological Sciences is located in the School of Engineering, Science and Technology at Central Connecticut State University .
The mission of the new department is to provide a solid undergraduate education in traditional yet innovative field- and research-based geological and astronomical studies. CCSU will now offer BS degrees in: Geology, Earth Science, and Earth Science Education as well as minors in Astronomy, Astrobiology, Earth Science, and Geology.

POSTED: FALL 2014 - GSC Student Member Receives National Recognition from GSA
University of Connecticut PhD student, Sarah Vitale, is the GSA 2014 Northeastern Section Outstanding Poster Award Winner. Her poster is entitled "Determining the Connectivity of Fractures between Multiple Bedrock Wells Using Dissolved Oxygen as a Tracer" and was on display at the Annual Meeting in Vancouver. |
